We've lost one of the greats: a deep thinker who wanted to know why humans matter, what makes us equal, and why we shouldn't be afraid of "a storm in the wilds."

This is really sad. If there were something like a list of 'modern ethicists that non-philosophers should know about,' he'd be pretty high up on that list for me.
(Which reminds me: there's a lot of Tom Hill I haven't read, like "Ideals of Human Excellence and Preserving Natural Environments". I guess I know what I'll be doing on my weekends now!)
